We are an LGBT+ youth group looking for an inspirational, experienced Youth Work Leader/Participation Worker with the passion and desire to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable, struggling and isolated young people.

Hours: To be arranged depending on location/s - Minimum 18 hours per week (Sherborne & surrounding areas)
Contract: Fixed term contract to end March 2023
Salary: JNC 11 Pro rata (£11.62 per hour)
Reports to: CEO

This role involves:
● Engaging and working directly with LGBT+ young people.
● Promoting youth participation in project/s.
● Facilitating youth led programme planning.
● Helping to assess the young people’s needs, assist development and measure their outcomes.
● Working flexibly to meet the needs of young people. This will involve evening and some weekend work.
● Promoting the service to other agencies - especially schools and other provisions.
● Developing existing and build new relationships with schools, colleges and other agencies.
● Developing and delivering awareness raising activities and training for adults and young people.
● Monitoring and evaluating the project and maintaining recording system.
● Working in a relaxed but positive manner with young people.
● Managing a small team of paid/volunteer Assistant Youth Workers.
● Undertaking other duties appropriate to the post as required.
● A valid driving licence and use of a motor vehicle is essential for this role.
