BH1 is a Drop In Centre in Boscombe which is part of Boscombe Corps, The vision is to work alongside the local community and to engage and support the Project’s client base by developing relationships, encouraging them to access the holistic activities and resources available at the Project.

Identify sources of support to meet Clients varying needs, developing knowledge in Benefits, Harm Reduction, Employment skills and Mental Health Support.

The Community Project Worker will be based at the BH1 project and will work to deliver programmes and activities within the BH1 Project and local community in Boscombe, under the direction of the Community Project manager to deliver the stated aims of the programme.  The role includes working a rota and alternative weekends.

The role includes supporting people from the community with benefits, housing, substance misuse, mental health, social activities and working alongside other agencies in the community.

Working with and helping to supervise and encourage volunteers.

Ensuring your work is carried out in accordance with both Salvation Army and any relevant statutory policies and procedures.
