Community Action Network
Grant funding can come from a range of sources, including Central Government, Local Authority, National Lottery, Charitable Trusts and Corporate Trusts. Grant funding tends to be a key source of income for charitable organisations, but securing funding can be very competitive, with funders having restricted amounts and often having to make tough decisions between very worthwhile causes.
If your group has an income of under £1m a year, you can use websites paid for by the local councils to search for grant funding, which are free to use. These online tools provide information and links for different types of funders, which allow you to search for funding opportunities suitable for your organisation.
