Mental health campaign to target isolated Dorset communities People living in rural Dorset communities, where isolation can be a way of life, are being urged to look after their mental health in a new wellbeing initiative. The rural mental health campaign, Within Reach, is led by Public Health Dorset on behalf of Dorset’s Suicide Prevention Group. The group includes public sector, VCS and private sector organisations, working in partnership to reduce suicides across Dorset. Launched on September 26, the initial six-week Within Reach campaign is striving to empower people to support others and encourage those struggling to reach out for help. To help spread the word about the campaign, a Partner Toolkit is now available. It can be downloaded here. You can also find out more about how the campaign intends to reach a quarter of Dorset residents who live in rural communities. Read the article here.
