Since the first National Lottery draw in 1994, more than £46 billion has been raised for good causes and over 670,000 projects have been funded, making lottery funds a key source of income for charitable organisations. In England, National Lottery funding is distributed through the following organisations, information can be found on their individual funding programmes below:

• National Lottery Community Fund
• Sport England
• National Lottery Heritage Fund
• Arts Council of England
• British Film Institute

Support is available for a wide range of projects which benefit local communities, through the Awards for All programme run by the National Lottery Community Fund. Grants are available between £300 and £10,000 for upto one year’s activities through this programme.
