This online course will give you access to the national expertise of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and is for organisations in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas.

Note: this is a repeat of the course previously held on 28th October 2021.

What will you achieve?

NCVO have redesigned their face-to-face training to ensure your learning needs are still met though interactive, live sessions with knowledgeable trainers. This online course will help you understand and analyse the current funding situation of your organisation and teach you how to plan for the future. We’ll use key strategic tools, a funding strategy template (that you’ll adapt and tailor) and help you consider various sources of funding that are most suitable for your organisation including looking at diversification.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Understand the current operating environment
  • Understand how to analyse your funding
  • Identify how and where you might diversify your funding
  • Understand the key components of a funding strategy and the steps needed to develop one

Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at people responsible for funding in small and medium-sized charities. It is best suited to those who have responsibility for developing a funding strategy and those seeking to diversify their income.

The course tutor

The course will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable facilitator from the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) giving you access to their expertise in supporting voluntary organisations.
