This online course will give you access to the national expertise of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and is for organisations in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas.

Note: this is a repeat of the course previously held on 21st October 2021.

What will you achieve?

NCVO have redesigned their face-to-face training to ensure your learning needs are still met though interactive, live sessions with knowledgeable trainers. 

What does the course cover?

By the end of the course you will:

  • Articulate your purpose – your ‘why – and the difference that you make
  • Consider what your elevator pitch could be (to get you to that two-pager)
  • Start putting together a detailed toolkit, comprising a consistent and compelling narrative for your organisation

Who is the course for?

This course is for anyone who wants to:

  • Understand what the elements of a case for support are.
  • Know where to get the information to create a case for support for their organisation or project.
  • Have the confidence to develop a case for support for their own organisation or project
  • Know how to use a case for support with internal and external stakeholders
  • Appreciate the scope of a case for support, and its limitations.

The course tutor

The course will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable facilitator from the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) giving you access to their expertise in supporting voluntary organisations.
