Who do we help?

We help you, our partners, find and access community support for the people living across the BCP Council Area.

How do we support?

Virtual Hub

Our virtual hub offers you live information about local community options in a friendly 'Teams chat' environment right on your desktop!

You can ask a quick question about what might be available to help people stay well and independent in their community. Building our local knowledge together, plus keeping it relevant and personalised, saves you time in finding creative options for community support and helps us build even more knowledge to help others - fast!

Direct Referrals

You can directly refer people to us when they don’t need your services but would benefit from some support. They are safe in the hands of our experienced team who will take the time to listen, understand their needs and advise them what is available in their local community to help.

We may also offer the person a Wellbeing Buddy volunteer to keep listening and supporting them as they become better equipped to connect independently with their community. We will give you feedback, if requested, and let you know what has worked! We also may refer back to you if situations change or we identify additional complexities that are better supported by your services.

Email Signposting

Our email support is available if you are supporting people in more complex situations or that may need more research in a particular area. Drop us an email and we will respond with a variety of options, that are personalised, so you can follow these up with the person you are supporting. We love hearing from you about the differences this has made to the people you are working with.

Information Stations

You can also tell people about our information stations. Our team are available to answer questions and give information in selected hospitals and libraries across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

These are helpful for people who prefer to talk to us face to face in order to access the information they need. We hope to become a trusted source of information that people easily recognise and naturally think of, when they need a little extra help to keep well at home. We will be popping up at other events and locations throughout 2023 - so please do keep an eye out in the virtual hub for the latest news on where we will be!

Please send all your queries to [email protected] where our team will be ready to respond.
