Home-Start South East Dorset is an empowering, visionary family support service built on trusted relationships and rooted in the community. We are ambitious for our future and are well positioned to build and develop the scheme and are currently seeking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees to play a key role in our ambitions (voluntary role).

We are at an exciting stage in our development, and you will support us to build on our successes to date and the newly appointed Chair of Trustees will lead us through the next phase of our journey.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of operating at a senior strategic leadership level within an organisation
  • Successful track record of achievement through their career
  • Judgement and vision to operate effectively at strategic level
  • Experience of charity governance and working with or as part of a Board of Trustees
  • Experience of delivering presentations and managing stakeholders
  • Significant experience of chairing meetings and events
  • Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort (approximately 10 hours per month)
