CAN Community Volunteers

Looking for ‘Volunteer Ready’ people for one off or short term volunteering?

Local people 16+ from all walks of life and interests have signed up to join the team.

They have all provided evidence of identity and taken part in our ‘Volunteer Ready’ training package, which includes:

• Benefits of helping your community
• Safeguarding
• Confidentiality
• Equality and Diversity
• Health and Safety
• Practicalities
• Support and advocacy from CAN

They want to keep their options open and are ready to hear about the support you need. Let us know what you are looking for and we’ll put out a call to action – if they are free and it fits with what they can do they’ll get in touch.

Things to consider:

• You’ll need to have organised the volunteering opportunity and have someone there to manage the volunteers – they won’t organise and manage themselves! We’re here to help with expert advice and guidance, even if you need to set up in an emergency, give us a call and we’ll do all we can to support
