This online course will give you access to the national expertise of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and is for organisations in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas.

Note: this is a repeat of the course previously held on 7th October and 8th November 2021 and will be repeated on 28th February 2022.

What will you achieve?

When you write a funding application, how often are you successful? Your time is precious and there are few good funding opportunities; every application needs to be as strong as possible. In this online training course, you will learn how to write solid funding applications with confidence and with focus.

NCVO have redesigned their face-to-face training to ensure your learning needs are still met though interactive, live sessions with knowledgeable trainers.

What does the course cover?

By the end of the course you will:

  • know how to prepare effectively for writing a proposal so you are able to respond to opportunities quickly and efficiently
  • be confident deciding whether or not to bid
  • be aware of how to write in an appropriate and effective style
  • understand what makes a successful application or tender.

Who is the course for?

Anyone responsible for their organisation’s business development or fundraising function, including those who currently write bids and applications, and those who are considering doing so and would like to find out more.
