🚶‍♀️Are you starting to think about volunteering for the benefit of others?
🚶‍♂️Are you a carer for someone with dementia or other related condition, or had an early diagnosis yourself, and feel you would benefit from a regular gentle stroll in the company of others?
👨‍🦽Are you interested in the local heritage?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join us on Tuesday 31 January, 10.30am at the museum, to find out more about how you can get involved with our Tuesday Strolls.

Tuesday Strolls are led by volunteers and currently take place every 2 weeks. These gentle walks start and finish at the Red House Museum and Gardens, Quay Road, Christchurch. Walks are 30 – 40 minutes and you set the pace. Stopping points help you discover more about the unique heritage of Christchurch and are led by trained and helpful volunteers. Walks are dementia-friendly, and people with dementia and their carers are encouraged to take part.

On Tuesday 31 January, 10.30am, we are holding a drop in event at the museum to give people the chance to meet the volunteers who run these wonderful walks. Whether you are interested in volunteering with the team, or would like to take part in a stroll and want to find out if its right for you and the person you care for, all are welcome to come along for some cake and a chat about what we do.

No need to book, just drop in at 10.30am. Tea, coffee and cake will be served. The event will take place in our ground floor gallery. Please note their is no parking at the museum. Information about car parks near to the museum can be found here.

Feel free to message us if you have any questions and please like and share this post to make others aware of this opportunity.
